Conor Platt

Co-Founder, CEO & CIO

Conor is the co-founding CEO and CIO of Etho Capital, as well as the founder and CIO of Confluence Capital Management, which runs a private investment partnership, Confluence Capital, LP.  Previously, he worked at Brown Brothers Harriman on the Portfolio Strategy team upon earning his MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. He was an analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York after receiving his B.S. in Finance with honors at Carnegie Mellon University.


Ian Monroe

Co-Founder, President & CSO

Ian is Etho Capital's co-founding President and Chief Sustainability Officer, as well as a lecturer at Stanford University. Ian is also the founding CEO of Oroeco, an award-winning web and mobile platform that rewards users for helping solve climate change.  He is an Echoing Green Fellow and one of TechRepublic's top 8 leaders in cleantech. Ian consults and speaks about climate accounting and solutions for the United Nations and the U.S. Department of State, drawing from his research at Stanford and his experiences working on sustainable technology in 24 countries around the world. 


Jim Hetherington

Founding Partner & COO

Jim is a founding partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Etho Capital.  As an attorney and a licensed financial advisor, he brings over 10 years of legal and financial experience to the team.  Prior to joining Etho Capital, Jim worked in PNC Bank’s Asset Management Group – first as a Fiduciary Officer and then as a Senior Relationship Manager.  He earned his J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College, and his B.A. in English from Middlebury College.


Katie Hoffman

Managing Partner & Development

Katie is a managing partner at Etho Capital, handling strategic development.  She has a decade of experience building companies and projects that are focused on environmental and social impact, including her advisory firm Resco, LLC. Katie has worked on sustainable investment policies with the University of California, CalPERS and CalSTRS. She was selected as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the California Clean Energy Fund, and serves as a founding member of the International Divest-Invest Network. Katie graduated Summa Cum Laude from UC Berkeley with degrees in History and Environmental Science.


Corie Radka

Managing Partner & Development

Corie is a managing partner at Etho Capital. Previously, she directed regional and statewide campaigns with Americorps, Environment California, and the Public Interest Research Group.  She has lectured at every UC campus, as well as Columbia University, and recently taught an applied course at UC Berkeley focused on community development. Corie is also a co-founder of ResCo, LLC.  She earned degrees in Environmental Science and Zoology from UC Santa Barbara, receiving  the Chancellor's Award for her published research in climate lifecycle analysis.


Mauricio David Castillo

Managing Partner & Operations

Mauricio is a managing partner and operations coordinator at Etho Capital, as well as a founding partner of the advisory firm ResCo, LLC. Previously, he worked at Sungevity as a Consultant and then as a Solar Sales Trainer, where he led and helped develop organization-wide strategies, initiatives and financial product launches. His past experience includes leading research and development projects related to climate policy, litigation, and communications at Earthjustice. Mauricio obtained his B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from UC Berkeley. 


Scott Davies

Senior Analyst & Portfolio Strategist

Scott handles equity research, analysis and portfolio strategy for Etho Capital. He has over 15 years of broad financial industry exposure including macro/thematic research, technical/tactical analysis, and industry/fundamental analysis. Previously, Scott worked for Oppenheimer & Co. as a Director of Portfolio Strategy and prior to that he was a Senior Equity Analyst with Brown Brothers Harriman.   Scott is a licensed financial advisor and holds his CFA / CMT certifications. He earned his B.S. in Economics and Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
